Le Français is a knife that has a rare elegance that allows it to be as comfortable in the city and countryside.

For le Français, the Damascus derives from twisted bars that, after grinding, reveal the fine wavy lines and star shapes that characterize the "Twist" motif.

As soon as you see serpent wood you realize why it got its name. The appearance of this wood automatically grabs your attention. Once polished, its highly unusual structure that alternates hard and soft fibers produces a uniquely smooth, shiny appearance.

Serpent wood (Marmoroxylon racemosum) is an endemic precious wood of the Guyanese forest. The handle is composed of large fibers deep yellow, marbled large irregular brown spots reminiscent of a snake flaking. This precious and rare wood only grows in primary forest and likes dry soils. It is recognizable by its dented trunk characteristically.

Inspired by a 17th century knife design, Perceval has taken the core features from the original design and adapted them to suit your needs. Thus, the "Le Français" Damascus model faithfully reflects the French lifestyle, combining practicality with jewel-like elegance. With this knife, you will get as much pleasure out of slicing a dried sausage as cutting into a juicy Rossini tournedos steak.

Precautions:

- Perceval pocket knives are not dishwasher safe nor washing machine safe (oversight in pockets!)

Care instructions:

- After use, humidify the blade, wipe it and fold up it.
- In case of water contact, quickly wipe the handle.
- A regular sharpening with a sharpening steel or a hone allows to keep the original edge.
