Gaïac

Gaïac

Gaïac wood, also called « wood of life » (« lignum vitae » in latin) is a small tree mostly found in Central America and the Caribbean. It is renowned for its important density as this is one of the hardest and heaviest Caribbean wood.

This extremely dense, hard wood is also known as "bois saint" or "bois de vie" (lignum vitae). These tree species are generally found in tropical regions, mainly in the West Indies and Venezuela.
Use of this wood is regulated; Perceval has all the legal authorizations covering its possession and processing.
